Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Place advertisements on Applicant Tracking for vacant positions and assist supervisors with recruitment.
Assist with screening of applicants and compiling references.
Coordinate the completion and receipt of employment forms, new hire paperwork and licensures for all new staff. Verify employment forms are complete and received for all new staff and from supervisor in accordance with organization requirements.
Execute orientation program for assigned regions.
Monitor payroll trends within departments.
Assist with the performance review and raise process.
Assist employees and managers with questions related to payroll.
Administer worker's compensation process
Administer leave of absence forms (FMLA & Disability) and process timely and accurately. Communicate with staff and benefits contacts as needed to minimize the impact of the leave on the staff member and the organization.
Administer tuition assistance programs.
Provide counsel to employees and managers as personnel issues arise. Help employees and managers access and understand policies, processes and forms.
Provide administrative support for unemployment hearings and other legal proceedings including copying documents, mailing documents, setting appointments and general correspondence as requested.
Process and mail all COBRA forms/documentation for terminated employees.
Assist employees and managers with Net Learning.
Provide guidance during the termination process and conduct exit interviews when the opportunity allows.
Two years' experience in Human Resources.
Experience with payroll, HR, benefits processing.
Ability to exercise initiative. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and organize work to meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or public relations field or related field or related education and experience.
