This position will report directly to the Manager of HR and dotted line to the Client Manager(s). There are 3 primary responsibilities in this position: provide HR generalist advice and services to their Clients; provide organizational development and training services to the Cooperative, and provide HR process improvement services to the HR Department. Other competencies required to be successful in this position are: strong business acumen, change-management abilities, HR generalist skills, process improvement skills; customer service skills, strong computer skills, ability to analyze data and provide recommendations, ability to manage and accomplish multiple tasks with a sense of urgency as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Position Responsibilities:
 Responsible for all human resources activities to include recruiting, compensation, labor/employee relations, benefits, and training and development for client group.
 Responsible for process leadership and in one or more of the above disciplines within human resources.
 Counsel leaders and employees on day-to-day employee issues, policies, practices, and concerns and ensures all issues are handled in a professional and confidential manner.
 Advances union and employee relations by assisting in interpreting the union contract and company policies, using win-win problem solving conflict resolution techniques whenever possible, helps facilitate and administer the grievance process as well as the disciplinary policy and procedures.
 Provides internal consulting, advice, and service to the HR Department by applying reengineering techniques, process mapping, and new technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness the existing HR processes.
 Maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
 Any other special projects or responsibilities as determined by the Manager.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS BY GRADE
HR Business Partner I – E6
Required:
 BA or BS ‐ Business Related Field
 4 years experience as HR Generalist supporting business unit or 6 years experience as HR Analyst with work that included handling employee relations/labor relations activity
 Relevant specialist experience ‐ Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Benefits Counseling, Recruiting, Compensation, Employee Law, and Organizational Development and Training and Development
 Practiced understanding of employment related laws
 Strong interpersonal skills
 Effective verbal and writing communication skills
 Demonstrated experience in stand‐up training
 Proven ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines
 Demonstrated analytical skills
 Ability to gather, organize, analyze, draw conclusions and make recommendations
 Professional integrity and willingness to be flexible and adaptive with work duties
 Excellent team skills and ability to collaborate and share knowledge with colleagues and clients at all levels
 Desire to learn new skills and abilities
 Process orientation
 Project management skills
 Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
 Ability to maintain confidentiality

HR Business Partner II – E7
Required:
 All requirements for Business Partner I
 Additional 4 years (Total 8 years) experience as HR Generalist or 6
years experience as HR Analyst plus 3 years Generalist experience
 Strong relevant specialist experience ‐ Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Benefits Counseling, Recruiting, Compensation, Employee Law, and Organizational Development and Training and Development
 Applied project management
Desired:
 Master Degree in business or related field
 PHR/SPRH or other HR related certifications
HR Business Partner III – E8

 Labor Relations Responsibility
