This is an exempt level human resources generalist position carrying out various HR programs and procedures. This positions primary responsibility is coordination of employee benefits. This position will require the accurate completion of all duties within timelines established by the CHRO. Supervisor will delegate various other human resources functions consistent with the employee benefits responsibilities of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and process all requests for leave (Disability, Family and Medical Leave, Vacation and Personal Leaves, etc.). Ensure proper assignment of leave in the HRIS and ADP payroll systems and communicates such to Benefit broker (e.g. Savitz Group.) and providers as necessary.
Process all benefit enrollments and changes as well as communicates with Benefit broker. Acts as liaison with Benefit broker and providers to communicate and resolve employee discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
Report and monitor all Workers Compensation Claim and associated leaves of absence.
Reconciles all monthly premium invoices - medical, dental, life, disability, EAP, and voluntary benefit plans (AFLAC and PrePaid Legal). Conduct real-time audits of all bills to confirm enrollment, changes and terminations.
Responsible for COBRA Notification and tracking via the Benefit broker, the Savitz Group.
Assist with the transmission of 403(b) and TSA contributions for all employees as scheduled.
Performance Evaluation Notification and Tracking - send monthly notices for reviews due, reviews late, and reviews outstanding. Generates monthly and annual reports to Executive Director and HR Director.
Administer the Employee Years of Service Award Program with support by the HR Assistant.
Responsible for all enrollment, changes and tracking associated with the Flexible Spending Accounts/Transportation Reimbursement Plans.
Support the HRIS Administrator in providing data for IRS, DOL and other government surveys; generate annual census data for annual Workers Compensation audit, annual benefit renewal; and furnish compliance data for 403 (b) year-end 5500 filing.
Assist with Salary Administration including changes in PMHCC Pay Ranges. Coordinates the paperwork that initiates the salary and job change process.
Complete understanding and applicability of all PMHCC Policies and Procedures is required to enable accurate and timely responses to inquiries from PMHCC staff and supervisors. Where an accurate and timely response is not apparent, must refer such inquiries, immediately, to the CHRO or other knowledgeable HR professional.
Participate in cross-functional training and provides training to PMHCC Managers and Supervisors in areas of specialty (i.e. FMLA, Workers Compensation, Performance Evaluations).
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Must adhere to rigid standards of accuracy, completeness, timeliness and attention to detail in all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and data base management skills (knowledge of MS Office preferred). Two years experience using ADP and an HRIS system Two years experience in administering employee benefits. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Time management skills and the ability to work independently with little direction are essential. Interpersonal skills, the ability to work with co-workers, employees at all levels while maintaining employee confidentiality. Independent decision-making ability is necessary, using supervisory backup as needed.
