Main responsibility is to serve as the primary HR partner for assigned internal customer group(s).
Build and sustain business partnerships with all levels of management in order to increase the effectiveness of the Human Resources department.
Understand the business needs of assigned department(s) while acting as a liaison between these department(s) and all operational areas in HR.
Provide employee relations support to managers and employees in assigned customer group(s) and conduct employee investigations with minimal guidance and supervision.
Assist managers in developing and implementing performance plans and monitoring employees placed on performance improvement plans.
Understand and communicate the organization’s HR programs (benefits, compensation, learning, events and employee relations) to management and employees.
Monitor day-to-day operations and trends having an HR related impact.
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
Process applicants in pre-employment stage; including background checks, offer letters, new hire paperwork and managing HRIS on boarding.
Conduct new hire orientation and maintain a positive on-boarding experience for new hires.
Ensure proper termination process and conduct exit interviews.
Participate in the development and administration of HR policies and processes.
Comply with Corporate, Federal, and State confidentiality standards to ensure the appropriate protection of employee personnel and identifiable health information.
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Manage relocation of Cbeyond employees following established relocation policy, processes and budget, which includes: coordination with outside vendors, relocating employees, and internal departments such as finance and payroll.
Minimum 3 years HR experience required supporting multiple functional organizations; preferably in a corporate office.
Experience supporting sales groups a plus.
Ability to relate to and communicate with people. Good verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to protect confidentiality of sensitive materials and knowledge.
Ability to reason, analyze and solve complex problems.
Ability to grasp the complexities of issues and people and apply systematic thinking, logic, and sound analyses when identifying potential solutions to problems and people issues.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and deal effectively with the stress of a fast-paced environment.
Display high degree of professionalism with proven ability to keep information confidential.
Ability to organize and evaluate HR procedures and recommend process improvements to manage work flow. Process oriented, but flexible around business needs.
Able to multi-task effectively.
Proficient at using Microsoft office software: MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.
PHR Certification Highly Preferred
4 - year degree required
