Currently,
Panasonic Corporation of North America (PNA) is seeking a Human Resources
Business Partner. The HR Business Partner provides HR support for major
business unit: Panasonic Factory
Solutions Company of America
(PFSA) and may provide support to smaller units as assigned (Healthcare).

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
HR

Management & Administration:
Provide assistance in ensuring
that all positions are fully and accurately described and graded

Coordinate the distribution of
the performance appraisal, salary review and HRD forms and provide
observations and recommendations as required by line management and the
VP, HR

Make recommendations for
training, rotations and special development assignments that would benefit
the company and the individual

Evaluates the status and
productivity of human resources programs and recommends changes to improve
efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Ensures that prompt action is
taken for all legal complaints and potential legal issues involving
employees and the Company, in compliance with company policy and Federal
& State laws. Conduct investigation, prepare reports, and communicate
information and follow-up to finalization

Consulting:
Under minimal direction,
partner with a business group at the business leader level -- the client

Anticipate client needs and
react to them before they are raised

Bring content-specific issues
to the appropriate COE that will design an appropriate solution

Bring high-level HR consulting
to the business units

Recruitment

& Contractor Management :
Responsible for recruitment of
assigned positions, ensuring recruiting processes are properly executed,
maintained and supported.

Coordinate the logistics for
all recruitment activities for all sales, technical and managerial
positions.

Sourcing support may be
provided by PNA recruiting, but may not be limited to this resource.

Manage client-hiring manager
relationship with regard to recruitment strategy, goals and methodology.

Partner with PNA Compensation
and PNA HR Business Partners in managing the job levels and salary ranges
for all positions.

Review resumes, evaluate work
history, education, job skills, training and compensation and other
qualifications of applicants based on business criteria outlined in the
job description.

Manage PFSA contractor
relationships to meet non-employee worker needs of PFSA’s specialized
contract assignments. Utilize PNA’s vender managed services model to meet
this accountability. May occasionally source directly.

Employee

Relations:
Provide employee relations
services through PNA Employee Services for Tier I issues.

Provide employee relations
services for executives and senior-level managers directly, or as
requested by senior management.

PNA HR

Projects:
Participate in PNA HR
initiatives and projects as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Scope:
Manages own time, equipment and
direct assignments

Collaborates with PNA Employee
Services, Operations and PNA HR subject matter experts.

Collaborates with PNA HR Vice
President of HR and/or PNA HR Business Partners on an array of HR
initiatives.

May supervise lower level HR
employees if assigned.

Coordinates and monitors
resources provided by the Employee Services and Subject Matter Experts.

Education

& Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or
related field, or equivalent work experience

7+ years progressive general
experience in human resources preferred

Understand the business group’s
function and operating style

Thorough knowledge of HR
policies and procedures

Competencies:
Strong change leadership
skills, customer focus

Ability to collaborate and form
teams to meet client needs

Proven experience in employee
relations, relationship building, interviewing skills, issue resolution,
strategic influence, critical thinking, technical HR expertise

Proven ability and proficiency
in applicant tracking and other HR applications such as, but not limited
to Taleo and Workday.

Communications:
Ability to communicate
successfully with all levels of employee and management.

Excellent verbal, written and
presentation skills

Other

Requirements:
Some travel required.
