We are looking for a dynamic HR Business Partner who will work closely with each of Speck ’s business units to align HR strategies with overall business priorities and ensure execution against those goals. You will lead people-related components focused on talent acquisition, organizational development, performance management, capability building, leadership " management development, and employee relations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, and meeting with the CEO on a regular basis, you will have high visibility to the entire company. What you will do: Partner with senior managers to identify key HR opportunities and provide strategic recommendations that will drive results while holding business units accountable in the acquisition, development and retention of their employees.
Provide strategic consulting on organizational change efforts and business capability improvement initiatives that support overall business goals and objectives. Foster a quotperformance and results-orientedquot culture through effective coaching and implementation of the performance management process including bonus review program; ensure thoughtful assessment, people development and bench/succession planning throughout the organization. Support business units in building team effectiveness by designing and delivering organizational interventions specific to their unique requirements and needs. Manage key talent acquisition activities including workforce planning, recruitment and business-specific initiatives; work with our external recruiter to prioritize open requisitions.
Act as an employee champion by anticipating HR-related needs and delivering value added services for the benefit of Speck employees; collect competitive data, perform analysis and identify trends that will continue to help Speck attract and retain top talent (e.g. compensation, benefits, programs, etc.). Manage our HR Coordinator and lead the HR team in creating an inviting and cohesive employee (and prospective employee) experience. Manage our Professional Employment Organization (PEO) with benefits, payroll, and compliance tasks; provide local employee benefit support and leave processing including FMLA, STD, and Workers Comp.
Other duties and projects as assigned. About You: Strong business acumen, able to translate complex business issues into HR implications and HR solutions into business-impacting solutions. A trusted advisor and coach with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization; proven ability to remain objective and discrete. Combined capabilities to think and act strategically while managing and executing the details of program delivery.
Thrives in a dynamic environment and able to work on various projects simultaneously, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. Solid understanding of all HR disciplines including recruiting and selection, management coaching, talent management, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, people strategy planning and organizational effectiveness/development. Demonstrated ability to manage and influence indirect relationships at all levels in a collaborative environment. You are less about creating policy and procedure.

Human Resources, Organizational Development and/or Business related Master ’s degree preferred. GPHR, SPHR, or PHR strongly desired. Seven years + experience in an HR capacity (preferably in a HR Business Partnership role) with increasing responsibility to include at least three (3) years in a management role. Experience in consumer electronics industry a significant plus.
Experience operating and getting your hands dirty in a matrixed, high-growth, start-up organization is highly desired. At least five (5) years of employee relations experience. Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Internet proficiency.
