We currently have an opening for an HR Business Partner who will partner closely with a collaborative HRBP team and a dynamic set of client groups across G&A and Sales. Here at Twitter, the goal of HR is to serve as a consultant across the organization, to shepherd the core values and to protect the culture.
Success in this role looks like this: You will establish a people strategy, aligned with the business strategy, that you also execute in partnership with the leadership in your client groups. You will collaborate cross-functionally between interconnected client groups, HR and recruiting. You will help elevate Twitter’s employment brand to a highly competitive level - not only for your groups but more broadly as well. You may have started your Twitter experience mastering the basics operationally, but you will have elevated HR capacity and streamlined processes to help people work more intelligently. You will have overcome obstacles, with minimal supervision, to bring influential staff onboard to your plans. In doing so, you will have demonstrated assertiveness, understanding, fortitude, and the ability to be both operational and strategic.
Partner with clients through all people related areas of the business including guidance on topics such as: total rewards, organizational change, talent development, compliance with employment law, HR metrics, employee motivation and engagement, and performance management.
Partner closely with recruiting, finance and hiring managers to help bring the best talent in the industry to Twitter.
Develop a strong and effective partnership with your local and global HR colleagues on key org-wide people initiatives.
Educate and train managers on the performance management process and the goals of employee development.
Work with managers and senior leadership to ensure development is happening for all employees in your client groups.
Partner effectively with your client group managers to ensure they scale, onboard, engage, and retain their staff successfully.
Design and implement appropriate rollout plans for people programs or initiatives.
Provide guidance and coaching to all employees on employee relations issues, feedback, career planning, mentoring, etc. Manage tough situations to resolution
Bachelors degree in a related field. Masters degree preferred.
5 - 10 years of relevant HR experience as a Business Partner or HR Generalist
Relevant HR experience supporting a Sales organization and in the media or high-tech industry strongly preferred
Experience supporting a dynamic global and distributed organization
Exceptional presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to work with, and influence, a diverse swath of the organization (i.e. across function, level, location, etc.) through tailored communication based on the audience
Self-motivated and assertive - ability to hunt down answers and drive solutions autonomously
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage conflict and drive change through building trust and collaboration with key stakeholders
