RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Recruiting

? Day to day recruiting activities including postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding

? Identify positions at high risk of turnover and develop & implement strategies to fill high priority positions within agreed deadlines

? Proactively identify multiple effective, appropriate recruiting sources for every position and every branch

? Identify and implement ways to automate the posting process for identified sources

? Assist in the development of an online application process within our applicant tracking system that makes allowances for apply in person candidates

? Streamline interview process for managers and sales candidates including upfront screening, interview scheduling, possible group interviews

? Develop phone screening tools and behavioral interviews for all positions

? Develop and conduct training on behavioral interviewing for all hiring managers

? Streamline / automate hiring requisition process

? Develop and administer a bench strength talent management process

? Develop communication, reporting and process simplification strategies to improve hiring manager responsiveness and accountability

? Process background checks, drug screens, and employment verifications

Training

? Effectively and efficiently onboard new hires

Employee Relations

? Develop and implement effective exit interview process

? Coordinate and deliver employee awards and rewards

? Suggest, evaluate and coordinate employee relations activities to effectuate a positive work environment

? Models and encourages responsibility, initiative, and accountability in all interactions to facilitate positive development of organizational culture

Benefits

? Benefits administration, including employee education and assistance, vendor communication, open enrollment rollout, and reconciliation of vendor invoices

? Manage and coordinate short and long term disability claims, updating disability records every week

? Manage employee LOA process

? Maintain and update payroll deductions based upon employee changes

? Maintain records of all benefit changes, especially 401k

Compensation

? Assist in evaluation of market pay & recommend adjustments

Safety

? Process worker's compensation claim first reports of injury

? Track workers comp claim status (open/closed) type (medical, restricted duty, lost time, report only), days out/days restricted, & OSHA recordable status, & basic claim details, and return to work information, updating every week.

? Effectively manage worker's compensation claims, engaging in effective, regular communication with employee, manager, People Director, medical providers and WC carrier, resulting in an overall reduction in claims dollars and an expedient return to work

? Keep worker's compensation case files up to date including all appointments, restrictions, etc.

? Assist in implementation and management of safety regulations and initiatives

? Research and develop accurate job descriptions, building consensus regarding key requirements

Compliance

? Research and monitor labor law postings and ensure that updated postings are displayed within all branches

? Manage Driver Qualification process and other aspects of DOT compliance

Performance Management

? Coordinate employee performance review process, ensuring reviews are completed on a timely basis

Administration

? Prepare HR related reports including monthly headcount report, birthday report, anniversary report, new hire report, and terms report, and weekly temporary labor reports.

? Prepare correspondence and perform other departmental administrative tasks

? Process new hire paperwork, including entry into payroll system, benefits system, E-verify, and 401k system

? Process employee changes including update of payroll system, benefits system, and 401k system

? Process employee garnishments in the payroll system

? Process employment terminations including update of payroll system, benefits system, and 401k system

? Provide general support for Company HRIS system

Qualifications:
? Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as an HR generalist, with an emphasis on recruiting

? High energy, high initiative, adaptable professional who can operate at a very fast pace within guidelines assigned

? Focused on results - no excuses

? Exceptional communication skills, ability to maintain confidential information and a positive professional attitude.

? Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint. (Know how to do more than send email in Outlook!)

? Creative problem solver with excellent time management & decision making skills

? Leap tall buildings in a single bound - figuratively - be the person who finds a way to accomplish the really tough stuff
