The HR Generalist will work closely with the Director of Customer Operations at the Minneapolis CORE office and the Director of Human Resources at HQ in northern Virginia to support operational and organizational effectiveness. The HR Generalist will execute day to day HR responsibilities as well as develop and lead longer term HR initiatives for the local Minneapolis office and the overall company. RESPONSIBILITIESThe HR Generalists primary job responsibilities include: Acting as the primary contact and HR Lead for the Minneapolis CORE team Conducting full life cycle recruitment to support the Technical and Customer Support functions including running a university recruiting program to support local hiring needs Recruiting support may also be provided at times, for other functional areas of the company including software and quality engineering, marketing and sales, IT, product management, and corporate overhead functions Working closely with hiring managers on job descriptions, candidate profiles, candidate evaluation and selection processes including developing interview and assessment training Conducting all employee on-boarding activities including new hire and benefits orientation and enrollment Working closely with the department head and team leads to support the training and development needs including identifying opportunities for growth and assisting with creating and executing programs to meet the outlined goals Management and resolution of employee relations matters Recommending new processes and approaches that will positively impact the department and overall company without hindering production or innovation Creating policies and procedures for optimum team effectiveness Leading and enhancing the performance review and performance management processes Working closely with HR Director and Department Head on compensation reviews, benchmarking, merit increase process and annual bonus process Assisting management in cultivating and reinforcing a customer service mentality and cascading it through the department and into the corporate culture at large; assisting in creating exchange opportunities between the Minneapolis CORE and HQ Assisting Director of HR with benefits administration and analysis, and annual open enrollment Advising local team on FMLA, FLSA and other compliance matters Maintaining HRIS data and ensuring integrity and accuracy. Compiling HR reports and conduct data audits Assisting with processing payroll on a semi-monthly basis Creating and maintenance of personnel files Working closely with Director of Human Resources on a variety of HR projects across functional areas
4+ years human resources generalist experience including employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, benefits, training and development 2+ years of experience in full life cycle recruitment; ability to independently lead recruiting efforts Must be capable of serving as the primary HR interface to team members and leadership within the department Ability and willingness to travel to HQ for at least one week a quarter. More frequent visits may be necessary at times for close collaboration with the HQ based HR team Must be able to develop and execute HR programs and strategies that require a degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills A very high degree of personal integrity including the ability to manage sensitive or confidential information Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple processes and priorities at once Flexibility and willingness to scale from administrative tasks up to strategic projects and act as part of a highly collaborative HR team Bachelors Degree or higher required.
