This position provides HR generalist support to one or more functional areas of Human Relations across the Mideast and Midwest Regions, such as recruitment and staffing, employee relations, benefits, training, and/or equal opportunity/affirmative action. The purpose of this position is to provide Human Relations support and services that support the business and contribute to an extraordinary place to work.
Provide support in areas such as recruitment and staffing, including managing requistions, screening and interviewing candidates, and presentation of quailfied candidate slates. Maintain applicant flow records and other records related to recruitment.
Assist with career fairs and college recruiting
Assists in maintaining personnel records on the HRIS system of record.
Address issues and requests from employees, which may include areas such as compensation, benefits applications, employment opportunities and affirmative action.
Process a variety of confidential processes.
Handle employee communications and questions on human relations’ policies and procedures, identifying and resolving potential issues and grievances, etc.
Perform data entry into Human Capital Management systems for all new hires and other changes as needed.
Participate on, and lead as assigned, special project teams such as selection processes, skills development training, safety process teams, employee recognition, extraordinary work place initiatives, etc.
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
2+ years human resource generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrate the ability to be coachable and trainable for cross-training/development within the HR function in preparation for future progression.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and SAP required.
Experience with online recruitment systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong prioritization skills.
Demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to be resourceful, demonstrate business acumen, creative thinking skills and be able to act as a decision maker.
Ability to travel approximately 10%
