Description/Job Summary At the sole discretion of Capital Farm Credit, position may be offered with a different title, based on the requisite qualifications of the candidate. As such, the essential functions could vary, but will be in general those required to conduct the effective administration of human resource functions for the Association.

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Provides professional and administrative services for the human resources department including personnel administration, payroll, benefits, recruiting, employee relations, records management, reporting and employee events coordination

Responsibilities/Duties BENCHMARKED JOB FUNCTIONS:

Advises employees and management personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs and procedures. Interacts with association hiring managers through coordination of job postings, organizing incoming resumes, communicating with candidates, and providing status reports to management. Ensures policies, procedures and employment laws related to hiring are followed. Ability to recognize employee relations issues and engage appropriate resources. Responsible for the human resources function at the association level including coordination on delivery of benefits, payroll processes, and other programs. Performs reconciliations including payroll, and approved leave requests with the time sheets recorded. Responsible for the Association's new hire and termination processing actions. Manages the Association's service awards and employee recognition programs. Responsible for all Association’s workers' compensation reports and claims. Responsible for all Association’s FMLA tracking, EEO reporting, Affirmative Action plans, Vets 100, and ADA reporting and any other required reporting. Maintains personnel records for Association employees and directors and assists senior HR Management as necessary.

Required Skills SKILL REQUIREMENTS

General knowledge of office equipment and systems used for the storage and retrieval of business information. General knowledge of standard records management and file classification practices. Specialized knowledge of written correspondence principles. Ability to communicate/coordinate effectively with all levels of management as well as with outside vendors; Ability to exercise sound judgment, use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to travel on a moderate basis. Skill in oral and written communication. Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Skills in established HR information and tracking systems and filing systems preferred.

Required Experience MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience. Experience with HRIS Systems, and Applicant Tracking Systems strongly preferred

Required Education MINIMUM EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resource Management or equivalent experience

This job requires strong verbal and written communication skills and listening skills, as well as the ability to read, comprehend and write memos, e-mails, operating manuals and policy directives. The job also requires the ability to provide, follow and convey verbal instruction, and to provide and receive feedback as appropriate in a respectful, business-appropriate manner. The ability to make effective business presentations, both written and oral, in small and large audiences is required. Courteous and professional conduct is required at all times with a willingness to provide and receive constructive input and direction. In working with team members, it is required that you foster open lines of communication by conveying pertinent non privileged industry and company information that is necessary to maximize job performance, knowledge and understanding.
