PurposeThe HR Generalist is responsible for supporting Management and employees with various functions as it relates to employment with Children of America.Essential DutiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be a

1.Assists in maintaining the Human Resource Information System records to reflect additions, terminations and changes in employee records as needed; keeping employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion.
2.Assists in monitoring the performance appraisal system and assists with any technical support as needed
3. Assists in administering the company Rewards Program through the ordering and distribution of loyalty, birthday and anniversary recognitions and disperses Mentor Teachers gift cards
4.Completes employee verifications forms (received by fax, mail or email)
5.Completes EEO-1 data reports requested by the State or Federal Government
6.Completes unemployment insurance surveys, and presents them to VP of HR for signature
7.Collecting worker's compensation reporting data and communicating with senior management.
8.Submitting FMLA Paperwork to employees; Tracking FMLA hours; and submitting medical leave status reports to senior management.
9.Ensuring that medical premiums collected from employees match healthcare provider invoices.
10.Redirecting employees with benefit issues or question to the brokerage firm customer service team.
11.Sending email notifications to employees and their manager when benefit eligibility is reached.
12.Running monthly reports to ensure employees going from PT to FT or vice versa are identified and Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) administered.
13.Handle employee relations related to verbal first written warnings, in addition to handling minor employee issues.
14.Assist employees with general questions.
Other Duties
The HR Generalist assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the VP of HR
Works under the direct supervision of The VP of HR. This position does not supervise others.

Highly proficient level computer skills including Ms Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Must be honest, assertive and systematic
Work Experience
Past work experience in childcare industry a PLUS
High school Diploma a must with relevant training in Human Resources
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule

Physical Work Demands
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the
Telephone, computer entry
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
Mental Work Demands
Regular and on-time attendance
Hours may exceed 40 hours per week
