This position is a generalist position that will begin in specializing in the coordination of the recruiting processes for the Council Bluffs plant and will then partner with a customer group. Position will assist in the administration of all HR policies and procedures. |
Partner with other HR generalists and business partners to gain a detailed understanding of organizational goals and needs. Plan staffing functional programs and strategies that align with the vision the Council Bluffs plant and business unit needs.
Maintain expert recruiting knowledge by staying abreast of best practices, legal developments, emerging trends, technological advancements and benchmark comparisons. Continually increase utilization of programs & processes for the delivery of recruiting services.
Ensure that BrassRing folders, requisitions, job postings and applicant tracking guidelines are met for every search.
Advocate for continual improvement in processes and programs. Identify barriers to change that limit the success of staffing services. Develop comprehensive change management, training and communication tools that increase buy-in and usage.
Provide expert technical support to HR Generalists and line leaders. Deliver specialty training as needed. Provide consultative, problem-solving support for challenging business issues.
Continuously monitor performance by manager/HR within functional business processes and programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and staffing guidelines. Ensure consistent application across the various businesses and promote standardization to achieve cost savings/better performance.
Manage third party relationships. Ensure appropriate service levels are being delivered while partnering with outsourced vendors to further improve processes/service offering and/or reduce costs.
Develop innovative staffing strategies that include by are not limited to enhancing diverse recruitment efforts and implement a plan to adhere to business objectives.
Manage full life cycle of recruiting process from specification through the employment offer.
Present qualified diverse candidate pool along with assessments and make hiring recommendations to line managers.
Lead the implementation of approved employee relations' policies and practices, providing professional and technical assistance to the designated Business Partners.
HR support will include but is not limited to, recruitment and retention, staffing and orientation, compensation planning, training and development, employee coaching/counseling/performance management, diversity and inclusion initiatives and talent management.
Responsible for leading Human Resource programs within customer groups, including but not limited to, EEO, unemployment, AAP, litigation, retention, termination, turnover, and severance issues. May conduct difficult employee counseling sessions regarding EEO charges, ADA, performance and termination.
Help develop, recommend, and implement approved programs and policies to ensure enhancement and acceptance of diversity and proper EEO/AAP legal compliance.
Assist in the creation and implementation of the ConAgra Foods plant culture.
Coach/advise management on effective ways to administer HR programs and manage employee issues.
Implement training and development processes for needs assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitor and stay abreast of employee relations trends and practices.
Protect ConAgra Food's interest while complying with government regulations, communicating awareness of the legal implications of all personnel actions.
Implement timely management systems to enhance human resource process effectiveness.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Management, or related degree required, SPHR/PHR preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of solid recruiter experience or minimum 2 years solid HR generalist experience with a specialization in recruitment.
Demonstrated knowledge of ERISA, EEOC and DOL regulations, employment sourcing, communications, human relations, and management skills.
Solid understanding of benefits and compensation administration, market pricing, labor law, and organizational development.
Proven communication skills, both verbally and written.
Effective negotiation skills.
Strong computer skills , with experience in use of Microsoft applications (including, but not limited to Outlook, Office, and SharePoint) highly preferred.
Ability to multi-task is required.
Strong business partnership experience is essential to the success of this role.
