The HR Generalist is responsible for providing human resources support to
assigned client groups. This includes providing support to client groups
(typically interface is at the manager level and below) regarding employee
relations issues, salary administration, performance management, organizational
effectiveness, recruitment, compensation, and talent management. Support the
Director of Human Resources in communicating, delivering and influencing against
human resources policies and procedures. Support operational and tactical issues
for assigned client group.
Supports implementation HR strategies and initiatives in partnership with
Director of Human Resources to develop structure, business processes,
performance systems, solutions and metrics to enable the assigned client groups
to execute and achieve the business targets.
Support Director of Human Resources in providing location specific insights to
help the Center of Excellence team at Headquarters align overall strategies with
location/client groups specific requirements.
Effectively work with line management in planning for and meeting business
goals and objectives including all HR processes, programs and initiatives.
Demonstrate ability to understand how the business/client groups operate at a
fundamental level and partner with Director of Human Resources to implement
Assist in partnership with Director Human Resources on tactics with
recruitment, people development and retention issues at the lower levels of the
organization. May assist in building organizational capability and bench
strength, ensuring the right people are in the right jobs. This may include
participating in talent reviews, succession planning reviews, calibration
reviews and performance management where appropriate. Promote the EHI Competency
models, performance management process and functional career pathing tools.
Serves as a change agent and consultant to client groups in support of EHIs
vision, mission, values, culture and strategy. Supports client groups in
partnership with Human Resources Director to ensure efficient and effective
organizational transition. Partner with Talent Management to deliver against key
objectives and initiatives that build capability.
Ensure legal compliance and mitigate the Companys risk through having a basic
understanding of most relevant employment laws and follow agreed processes. May
track/monitor necessary information related to AA/EEO/ etc.
Partner with Director of Human Resources on Organizational effectiveness
initiatives supporting the identification of organizational redundancies,
establishing clear processes and communication.
Promotes the role of HR and enhances the credibility of the function; work
collaboratively with HR team members to proactively share best practices and
