Job Descriptions:
The HR Generalist is accountable for the daily administration of the Company’s HR Information System, employee benefit programs administration, benefit vendors coordination, employee leave administration, HR guidelines interpretation and support, employee relations, compensation, recruiting, and other employee program coordination and administration. This position will be primarily located in Fremont, with some onsite HR support in the Renton location as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

HR Information Systems
Maintains and supports the Company’s HRIS including but not limited to data entry, work flow processing, ad hoc and periodic reporting, trouble shooting issues, overall data integrity, and assisting and training users.
Works closely with Payroll to ensure timely transaction processing and accurate timekeeping, compensation and deductions.
Benefits Administration
Responsible for coordinating and administering the annual open enrollment for benefits.
Supports health and welfare benefits, new hire education, eligibility determination, processing and reconciliation of vendor invoices and point of contact with vendors, carriers and associates to address and resolve benefits questions and issues.
Prepares benefits summaries and other collateral materials.
Supports 401(k) administration including new hire education, responding to questions regarding deferral election, investment changes and hardship requests and loans.
Manages COBRA administration.
Compensation
Works with Executive management to develop and maintain the Company’s compensation philosophy and strategy.
Work directly with managers to resolve compensation issues .
Sourcing and Recruiting
Collaborates with the assigned departments and managers regarding sourcing and recruitment needs and developing a sourcing approach.
Drafts and places job postings and coordinates recruiting activities including background checks and reference calls.
Processes new hire paperwork and conducts the new hire onboarding program.
Employee Relations
Perform non-complex employee relations. Consult with the Executive management when faced with complex issues including investigations.
Consult with Executive management regarding HR guideline interpretation.
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws including FMLA, HIPAA, safety and health and workers compensation and maintaining/securing database file.
Function as a resource to associates for all HR issues.
May participate in unemployment claims and hearings.
General HR Administration
Assures integrity and consistency of systems, personnel files, processes and policies, and maintains records and policies in accordance with state and federal laws.
Administers leave program, employee service awards, performance review process and Company transportation programs.
Maintains HR related information, benefits and employee data on the company intranet.
Supports safety and worker’s compensation administration through coordination of ergonomic assessments, and safety committee participation.
Processes employee separations including conducting exit interviews and unemployment compensation responses.

Required Experience:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products & technology.
Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and practices.
Recent experience administering benefits program.
Strong background in HRIS systems.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Process analysis and systematic thinking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of human resource data and processes.
Ability to communicate with employees who do not have strong English speaking skills.
Track record of meeting deadlines.
Able to work independently.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, or an equivalent of work experience and education combined.
PHR designation preferred.
Minimum of three years experience in an HR Generalist role in a small to mid-sized organization, and a combined minimum of six years in HR Generalist and/or Specialist roles at a mid-sized or large organization.
Minimum of three years experience as a super-user of HR information systems processing and reporting. Ceridian experience a plus.
Must be flexible for day travel to secondary business site.
