The HR Generalist position is a key business partner responsible for the full scope of day to day HR support for their assigned business unit and location. This role will be working with associates and management for the US and Canada and will be located in our Waukesha office.
Advises associates and management on HR functions including: employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, organizational design and change, communications, performance management, career development, selection and retention of talent, and compliance.
Responds to day to day HR, policy, benefits and other questions from associates and managers.
Provides coaching and guidance to all levels of organization in order to enhance organizational effectiveness and development.
Assists in driving the annual organization and review process including: performance management, goal setting, succession planning, merit review process, and manager and associate development.
Maintain compliance with corporate policies, local policies and federal and state employment regulations.
Helps to identify areas for training & development, provide recommendations/resources to management.
Partners closely with hiring managers and Recruiting team to ensure recruitment needs are met; participate in interview & selection process
Facilitates associate onboarding and training in New Associate Orientation.
Facilitates off boarding and makes recommendations for continuous improvement of the organization.
Acts as a change agent and supports Human Resources initiatives and projects.
Ability to effectively utilize HR systems and coach associates and managers on self-service activities.
Administrative duties as required to complete assigned work.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related business field.
Must have a minimum of 4 years general HR experience in areas such as employee relations, recruiting, training and performance management.
Ability to work remotely from the corporate office while maintaining a high level of engagement.
Must be engaging and collaborative with associates and managers.
Experience working with senior managers and employees that are located remotely.
Experience in the software industry would be a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
SPHR/PHR certification is preferred
