BASIC FUNCTION

The Human Resources Generalist has the primary responsibility to provide human resources support to the management staff within Baker.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration

Support the ACT process.
Support the quintile process.
Support the performance review process.
Develop and maintain position descriptions for all current and newly created positions in the group.
Maintain compliance with all governmental organizations related to the Human Resources function.
Maintain accurate paper and electronic records regarding all employees in the assigned business group.
Manage the wage increase program for all six-month, twelve-month and annual reviews.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Recruiting

Assist in the process of recruiting Administrative Non-Exempt, Exempt, and Hourly Associates as required.
Handle pre-employment testing process.
Training

Assist in the development and execution of regulatory training programs that relate to the human resource function.
Continual training of management regarding policy and procedure compliance.
Assist in the development of specific skill set training.
Policy and Procedure

Support the process of updating human resources policies and procedures.
Monitor compliance with government mandated regulations.
Monitor management compliance with human resources policies and procedures.
Act as a liaison with the Kohler legal department as necessary.
Benefits Administration

Handle all disability and workers compensation claims.
Act as a liaison with the Kohler benefits department as necessary.
Ensure compliance with Kohler benefit programs.
Employee Development / Relations

Assist in the development of performance documentation.
Act as liaison between employees and management.
RELATIONSHIPS & CONTACTS

Supervisory Relationships:
Reports to the Manager Human Resources, Baker Operations

Organizational relationships:
Frequent contact with the Plant Management.
Frequent contact with Department Managers.
Frequent contact with Kohler Human Resources staff.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and 3-5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
