Medidata is looking for a high-energy, detail and service oriented HR Generalist to support the HR Business Partner organization by promoting, communicating and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives. The HR Generalist will build and maintain influential relationships by providing direct support to company employees to handle a variety of important HR-related transactions and requests. This is an excellent role for those looking to grow in the HR Business Partner field.

Key Responsibilities

Support the entire employment life cycle, including:
  • Employee relations and employment issues (including consulting with Recruitment, OD, Compensation and/or Legal as needed)
  • On-going partnership with Recruitment, OD and Compensation to perform activities or implement programs for assigned departments in the areas of:
o Hiring and selection
o Performance Management
o Career Paths and career guidance
  • Compensation including, as necessary, incentive pay administration
  • Benefits and payroll questions and issues, including leave and PTO
  • Personal information changes
  • Separations and exit procedures
  • Policies and procedures
  • Liaise with global Medidata HR staff on projects and multi-location issues
  • Partner with Managers to create and deliver Performance Improvement Plans
  • Build and maintain positive, consultative, and effective partnerships with hiring managers and management across the organization
  • Train and advise managers and employees on system use and functionality
  • On-going and special projects
o Generate, maintain and revise HR department forms, templates and SOPs as necessary
o Assist with yearly corporate policy updates
o May create and update metrics/reports

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelors degree 3 + years experience in Human Resources
  • Absolute integrity, discretion and sensitivity to confidential company and employee information Excellent organization, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a true customer service orientation towards internal clients
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, and to work under pressure with deadline-driven initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization
Preferred:
Degree concentration in Human Resources or related field
Track record of success in progressively responsible Human Resources positions
HR systems exposure/experience (i.e. workday) Exposure/demonstrated interest in global HR initiatives Experience with sponsorships of visas and green cards
