We are seeking for an experienced Recruiter with a proven track record of identifying, evaluating, recommending and securing candidates within the target profiles that insures the successful achievement of the Credit Union’s growth plans. Candidates will have a successful history of consulting with Hiring Managers to develop job descriptions and assess most appropriate sourcing strategy e.g. internal/external, search firm, agency, etc. in addition to direct sourcing/networking methods.

Responsibilities:
Processes employment applications and assists in other employment activities such as orientation of new team members and explanation of credit union employment policies and practices, benefits, and compensation.

Manage relationships with search firms/agencies, recruitment portals, etc and other organizations to effect timely and thorough sourcing of a high quality, diverse candidate pool.

Source applicants, screen resumes, interview candidates and provide a short list to Hiring Managers.

Makes critical hiring recommendations and decisions to hiring leaders.

Manages the offer letter and Application Tracking System processes.

Conducts background and credit checks, phone screens and interviews to aid with employment and staffing for the Credit Union.

Responsible for ensuring proper education, training and implementation of Team Member Referral Program.

Administers and/or scores aptitude, personality, and interest tests.

Manages and trains leaders on the requisition and hiring process.

Ensure all hiring policies and procedures (i.e. any compliance, legal and regulatory requirements) are adhered to.

Proofreads and/or writes job postings as needed to ensure accurate posting both internally and externally.

Prepares and files reports as might be required by regulation, credit union policy, or benefit providers.

Recommend, coordinate, and attend hiring events such as Job Fairs, campus recruiting and other networking events.

May assist with the student branch selection process.

Leading and/or assisting with administration of payroll, HRIS, benefits, compensation, EEOC and other systems

Assist with the credit union wellness program and implement new wellness initiatives.

Conduct team development, training and performance appraisals processes.

Support diversity and other HR and credit union initiatives

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in one or more of the following areas: Human Resource Development, Communications and/or Business Administration.

A minimum of 5+ years of Human Resources experience including full-cycle recruiting. Previous experience working for financial institution is a plus.

Familiarity with local employment laws.

Has strong knowledge in FMLA, disability, workers compensation and other employment related matters.

Experience using an Applicant Tracking System and HRIS. Previous experience with Open Hire and ADP is a plus.

Experience using job boards and online technology to source and attract talent.

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet/exceed metrics.

Fully knowledgeable in credit union terminology and acronyms commonly utilized in the day-to-day communication of staff, policymakers and others involved in the credit union system.

Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills required.

Ability to communicate clearly with employees, supervisors and senior management by phone, in person, or through written correspondence.

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
