The HR Generalist provides lead support of the day-to-day HR functions. Represents the company, both internally and externally, and our core values through everyday actions. Must be able to work independently and exercise sound judgment on a consistent basis. Experienced, multi-tasker is a must.

Essential Job Duties:
•Administering policy/procedure while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws (e.g. ADA, FMLA, EEO/AA, OSHA, I-9 eligibility, etc.).
•Recruiting talent to ensure maintenance of headcount/staffing needs.
•Facilitating new hire orientation and coordinating various HR program initiatives
•Responsible for HRIS upkeep and maintenance ensuring data integrity.
•Advise management of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.
•Accountable for relevancy and accuracy of job descriptions
•Responsible for maintaining employment records and files as well as managing employment verifications
•Generates and distributes a variety of standard reports and statistical summaries.
•Coordinates exit processes including exit interviews, separation materials, appropriate reporting and unemployment hearings when required.
•Assists in administration of benefit programs including leave of absence process.
•Participates in the preparation of a variety of employee communications.
•Maintains effective communication and good working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization including daily interaction with finance and payroll departments.
•Performance will be measured by evaluating deadline dates met, feedback received from customers, and accuracy and punctuality of records maintained.
•Manage vendor relations and temporary staffing
•FMLA and short term disability
•Other duties as assigned

Reporting Relationships:
•Receives general supervision from Manager, HR.
•External contacts include vendors, applicants, and professional organizations. Internal contacts include all employees within the different company divisions and levels

•Minimum of three years experience in the Human Resources industry
•In depth knowledge of HR law
•Proven organizational skills
•Enjoyment in working with details and follow through
•Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills and computer proficiency
•Intermediate Excel skills
•Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field or appropriate combination of education and experience

•HR Professional designation or completion of certificate program
•Prior experience with ADP databases
•Prior experience with an Affirmative Action employer

Physical Requirements:
•Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
•Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for this position.
•Ability to travel less than 10% of the time
•Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
