DESCRIPTION

We have an opportunity for a HR Generalist to join our team! The successful candidate is enthusiastic, a self-starter, and outgoing. The person filling this role must be able to understand business initiatives, be able to effectively function as a leader in team environment motivating high performance team, be an independent thinker, and self-manager of time. Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, asrequired.Bi-lingual (Spanish) required.Technology driven & inspired is a plus.Hotel experience is a plus.

DUTIES

Perform as an individual contributor and work successfully within a team. Develop and motivate a high performance team.Demonstrate excellent organization skills.Demonstrate excellent presentation skills.Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.Maintains office bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legal compliant manner.Assist in maintaining current/updated job descriptions for all company positions; forwards performance appraisal material information/forms to associates and managers for completion; maintains new performance appraisal dates.Responsible for handling confidential information.Attends training seminars for up-to-date information on current laws and legislation.Assists in the development, maintenance and implementation of associate policies and procedures (Policy Manual).Maintains new hire affirmative action information to conform to EEO and Federal/State regulations.Coordinates all recruitment efforts for new associates; maintains applicant tracking system; conducts pre-employment screening; keeps updated recruiting resource index; writes and places advertisements.Researches and implements new recruiting methods.Attends local career fairs and hiring conferences.Administers pre-employment skill, personality and attitude tests, reference checks, drug screening, and criminal record checks.Reviews all necessary new hire paperwork with employee and explain as necessary (i.e. benefits).Creates, maintains and updates all personnel, insurance and medical files.Coordinates and conducts new associate orientations.Order & issue team uniforms. Coordinates associate training programs including the program (for example: brand, online safety training); updates and maintains all training records.Plan and lead monthly team rallies.Lead team charity campaigns.Process payroll via the electronic & attendance system.Assist in coordinating timely benefits enrollments including annual Open Enrollment.Respond to questions regarding policies, routine medical, dental, disability, paid-time-off, FMLA, leave of absence, and other programs.Assists in the investigation and suggests solutions to associate complaints/questions/grievances.Conduct exit interviews.Administers Workers Compensation program, maintains injury logs.Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.We will only consider applicants that complete the entire questionnaire.
