Stack Exchange is hiring an experienced HR Generalist who will implement and support People Team policies and procedures. He or she will align with our global workforce to ensure consistency and engagement among teams. The HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining compliance with local, federal, and global employment laws.
What you’ll do:
Administer Stack Exchange’s benefit plans, and recommend/implement ideas for their continuous improvement
Ensure that the company remains compliant with employment laws and regulations
Coach managers on proper methods for managing their teams’ performance
Help determine market salary ranges
Work alongside a team of in-house recruiters as we rapidly grow the company
Manage Stack Exchange’s HRIS and ensure accurate/lawful recordkeeping
Enhance Stack Exchange’s onboarding and offboarding procedures
What you’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree required; PHR/SPHR/GPHR certification a plus
Experience in an autonomous HR capacity, preferably at a growing tech startup
Knowledge of the regulations surrounding medical, dental, tuition reimbursement, and other employer-sponsored plans
Experience working with distributed teams
Knowledge of international HR laws (specifically UK labor laws), FMLA, disability, and other DOL & EEOC requirements
A sense of humor and casual, easygoing demeanor. HR people can be fun!
