The Human Resources Generalist will provide a broad range of hands on support and services in all functional areas relating to HR including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and investigations in alignment with the operating unit’s business goals and objectives. The role’s main focus is to create and sustain consistency in HR compliance while providing new and innovative ideas to help build and promote teamwork, morale and growth.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
Partners with hiring managers to assess staffing requirements, develops effective recruiting strategies, determines staffing and skill requirements to meet needs, and makes staffing decisions resulting in quality hires that further overall business objectives.
Manages the onboarding process, ensuring that all new hires join the company in a positive and consistent manner across all locations, including a comprehensive introduction to the Tecta Safety Program.
Promotes a positive work environment through compliance with Tecta America standards and policies, ensuring fair and consistent administration of policies and practices.
Coaches managers on performance management and development programs to further business plans and objectives. Works to enhance employee performance through individual or group development.
Partners with managers, identifies and assesses organization issues and needs. Helps design and implement interventions to improve business performance, organizational structure and staff relationships.
Responsible for compliance with state and federal regulations relating to human resources and employ relations issues. Maintains professional and technical knowledge of current trends, laws, and developments in HR to best serve the business unit.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2-4 years of progressively more sophisticated experience as an HR professional.
Initiative, with a proactive, problem-solving approach to business challenges.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Collaborative, team-oriented style.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to align organization systems, processes, and structures to business strategies and objectives.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus the ability to influence others.
