Position Summary: Provides clerical and administrative support to one or more functional areas within Human Resources such as recruitment/staffing, personnel records, employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, and training or equal opportunity/affirmative action. Processes various application, employment, and enrollment pay change information and other confidential forms. Gathers information and prepares standard to complex reports. Maintains and distributes current employee information, policy and procedure manuals and other communications. May perform duties involving employee communication, pre-employment screening, responding to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures, identifying potential issue as and grievances, etc. Operates a computer terminal.

May assist in coordinating the activities of the department. Familiar with KRONOS and Lawson applications. Back up for other HR Assistants and HR Secretary. Q


Position Requirements: (Minimum qualifications for the position)

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:

B. Education: High School education or equivalent

C. Experience: 1-3 years HR or record keeping related experience.

D. Special qualifications: Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period.

E. Hours of work: As scheduled/needed
