Worldwide Clinical Trials, a clinical research organization serving the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, has a new opportunity available as a Human Resources Generalist .

SUMMARY:
In support of company goals and objectives, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for acting as a key interface to employees and management assisting with establishing and implementing policy, such as EEO compliance, employee relations, workforce planning, training/development, and compensation and benefits for US Division. Under minimal supervision, performs administrative duties accurately and efficiently. Requires independent judgment and understanding of corporate goals and policies. Assists in the development and execution of plans for the Human Resources Department. Can perform both routine and non-routine tasks accurately and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
Effectively coaches and trains managers and employees on human resources issues, initiatives and programs.

Coach and assist management on the proper handling of employee relations issues.

Responsible for employee relations, FMLA, STD, LTD claims

Ensure that all paperwork such as insurance, 401k plan, personnel transactions new hire packets, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, discipline, exit interviews and terminations are completed properly

Management of ADP HRB system

Advise, support and train all levels of management on the fair and consistent handling of situations requiring discipline, ensuring no employee is disciplined or terminated without specific HR involvement and authorization.

Participate in assigned employee relations investigations.

Proactively identify issues, develop solutions and involve the appropriate resources, as needed, to ensure a fair, positive and timely resolution.

Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and company human resources policies and regulations.

Assist in the recruitment, selection and hiring process for all levels as needed.

Facilitate training workshops on a broad range of HR topics.

Conduct new employee orientation and on-boarding

Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.

Participate in all involuntary employee terminations

Coordinates special events to include seminars and social events

Special projects as needed/directed.

Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Exposure to HRIS/HRMS systems; preferably ADP

Familiarity with the operations of all corporate divisions, policies, goals and objectives acquired after three months of on-the-job exposure to WCT operations.

Knowledge of word processing and Human Resources software and techniques; normally acquired through formal education or one year of applicable experience.

Ability to interact effectively with superiors, peers, other employees, vendors and service providers.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on special projects with minimal supervision.

Basic knowledge of English grammar, composition and style sufficient to write and proof materials that will represent WCT to potential employee and service providers.

Required Skills

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related field

2-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required, preferably in a Generalist role

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Strong decision making, problem solving, and judgment skills

Ability to remain objective in dealing with all levels of employees and managers

Effective written and verbal communications skills including the ability to lead group presentations and training sessions.

Must be computer literate including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
