Manage external staffing, internal promotion and transfer activities. Conduct 30/90 day interviews with new hires. Participate in benefits and compensation programs including research and input on the marketplace. Maintain accurate information in HRIS and assist in providing management reports. Conduct analysis and develop reports for Talent related activities and costs.
Develop and implement customer focused programs, plans, policies and procedures for recruitment. Include plan to staff for immediate needs and to address anticipated long-term staffing issues. Include internal transfers and promotions in planning.
Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, recruitment sources, job fairs, and social services organizations to maintain a presence for Wheels as a source of employment.
Interview and evaluate candidates (utilizing a staffing system) to assure high quality skill and cultural fit levels for open positions. Maintain relationships with candidates not selected as a source for future opportunities. Develop and implement profiles and assessments for all positions.
Manage the internal job posting program. Where appropriate, counsel with current employees regarding career development. Refer individuals not selected for career coaching.
With assistance of HR staff, coordinate reference checks, drug screens, background checks, orientation and office set ups, and start dates with department heads, administrative staff and training.
Maintain automated applicant tracking and staffing statistics systems and additional data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Assist in maintaining the HRIS Database and reporting.
Compile monthly statistics regarding turnover, head count, overtime, temporaries, consultants, and staffing. Develop reports no later than the 10 th of the month.
Maintain Affirmative Action Plan and logs.
Manage the Temporary employee process and pool.
Assist with consultant contract evaluation and approval.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Thorough knowledge of employment law.
Experience in all facets of staffing and selection.
Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources.
10+ years of staffing experience in an organization with sound employee relations practices.
Thorough knowledge of state of the art staffing and sourcing techniques.
