Education, Experience and Skills Required:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field and three to five years of Human Resources experience, MBA a plus.
SPHR or PHR certification preferred.

Job Purpose Statement
The Manager of Human Resources will focus on leading HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment; and the recruitment, retaining and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Manager of HR coordinates implementation of services, policies and programs through company managers and employees; ensuring HR policies and practices are consistent with company objectives and are in compliance with the federal, state and local guidelines.
The position reports to the VP of Human Resources and serves on the HR management leadership team. The position requires high energy, forward thinking, the ability to adapt to different environments, the ability to establish trust throughout the organization, and a strong commitment to help the organization exceed expectations. The manager must demonstrate expertise in a variety of HR concepts, practices and procedures.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate human resource function and effectiveness.
Ensure the HR function is aligned and supporting company’s business strategy.
Manage activities, programs and strategic HR plans of the corporation.
Under the direction of the Vice President of HR and with the HR leadership team, design, plan and implement HR policies throughout the organization.
Provide employee relations support to managers/employees to include disciplinary and termination actions.
Oversee the management of recruiting, succession planning, talent management, staff development and compensation plans.
Select, train, develop and evaluate subordinates.
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Educates associates in compliance matters.
Investigates employee relations issues and employee grievances and advises management on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and ensures proper documentation.
