Job Description

Role Summary:

Directs HR consulting for a large population with significant complexity for a major function or region. Leads development and implementation of human capital requirements to successfully execute client business strategy. Anticipates future HR resource requirements of clients based on business, industry and market conditions. Evaluates the results of HR initiatives that impact client operations and results. Provides strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions on most complex issues to senior business leaders. Assists in the creation of development plans for senior level high potential employees. Identifies high potentials at all levels for key impact positions. Manages resolution of significant employee relations issues. College Degree. Graduate degree preferred. Eight or more years of Human Resources or related experience including two years of supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities:

As a human resources leader in CIGNA's U.S. Commercial Markets, directs strategic HR consulting for the National Segment. Leads development and implementation of human capital requirements to successfully execute client business strategy including but not limited to an aggressive talent strategy that drives business growth, leadership development, succession planning, employee development and engagement, and diversity in its broadest sense. Is a business leader aligned to assigned segments/business units whose specialty is human resources. Anticipates future HR resource requirements of clients based on business, industry and market conditions. Evaluates the results of HR initiatives that impact customers, clients and overall business results. Provides strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions on most complex issues to senior business leaders. Champions the enterprise people and other talent strategies to ensure alignment to the line, including strong strategic partnership with our centers of expertise. Assists in the creation of development plans for senior level high potential employees. Identifies high potentials at all levels for key impact positions. Manages resolution of significant employee relations issues. College Degree. Graduate degree preferred. Eight or more years of progressively responsible human resources or related experience.

Successful candidate will have broad human resources functional expertise with significant and demonstrated ability to strategically align progressive talent strategies to business goals and objectives. Strong ability to work in a highly matrixed business and HR model. Excellent communication skills with strong influential leadership, courage, and business acumen competencies. A savvy business leader, also a driver a change with significant organizational development and effectiveness experience
