DESCRIPTION

Our new Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function for our CA facility by providing broad HR generalist support for staffing planning, recruiting, on-boarding, compensation administration, performance management, employee relations, and workplace safety. Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity in conjunction with MN corporate HR leadership.

DUTIES

  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Consults with leaders to plan for staffing needs, and identifies applicant sources and channels
  • Collaborates with leaders to recruit, interview, and select employees to fill vacant positions
  • Works with MN corporate HR to complete new hire and on-boarding paperwork
  • Coordinates decision making on employee promotions and transfers
  • Advises and participates in successful resolution of employee relations issues
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Works with MN corporate HR to administer performance review program to ensure timely completion and equity within organization
  • Works with MN corporate HR to administer salary increases that ensure compliance and equity within organization
  • Investigates accidents, prepares First Report of Injury forms, coordinates communication and documentation between providers and work comp insurance carrier, and posts OSHA 300 logs.
  • Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
  • Assists employees with immigration paperwork and documentation as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from a four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR/SPHR certification preferred, but not required. *Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
