Key Responsibilities
This position is accountable for the planning, organization and implementation of all Human Resources functions for the Cleveland manufacturing facility in the Northeast Ohio Regional HR team.

The key duties and responsibilities of the position include: union free employee relations, talent acquisition, staffing analysis, employment processing, employee engagement, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; completing personnel transactions.

This position is responsible for administering all local and corporate policies and procedures as stated in the following: Cleveland Employee Handbook, Department Operating Procedures, PPG Policy's on Workplace Harassment, Business Conduct Policies and Global Code of Ethics. This will be done in compliance with corporate, state and federal regulations.

In this position, it is pivotal that an atmosphere of confidence, mutual trust and respect is created in order to ensure acceptance of modern management programs. To achieve this, the incumbent will be expected to spend significant time in the plant working with operators on all shifts.

The incumbent is expected to undertake special projects and will do so by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.

This position plays a critical role as a member of the Northeast Ohio Regional HR team and will be accountable to assist and support both operational and corporate Human Resource strategic initiatives to achieve desired objectives.

The incumbent is required to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Qualifications
Experience and Education

The position requires a college degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field and a minimum of 3- 5 years of related experience. The incumbent should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. The incumbent must have good organizational skills and be innovative.

Functional and Technical Skills
The incumbent will play a critical role as a member of the Northeast Ohio Regional HR team and be accountable to assist and support those Human Resource initiatives required to provide strategic alignment to achieve those facilities goals and support their respective leadership teams.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
· PC, internet, Outlook and Microsoft Office product (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) proficiency is a must.
· The successful candidate will need to be flexible and possess the ability to deal effectively with change.
· Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to make decisions, and manage their workload under various circumstances.
· Demonstrated ability to model ethical and professional behavior
