We are currently seeking a HR Military Personnel Coordinator for the Frederick, MD area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide administrative support for the Human Resources Office.

Time and Attendance Reporting: Monitor and assist military with ATAAPS.

In-/Out-Processing of officers and enlisted soldiers: Ability to follow procedures and experience using Oracle. Update and maintain the Human Resource Oracle database.

Military Human Resources: Knowledge of and ability to assist with military personnel programs to include reassignments, sponsorship, retirements, leaves/passes, financial actions (to include travel and special pay), Officer Evaluation Records (OERs), rating scheme adjustments (monthly), eMILPO transactions, and officer promotions.

Liaison: Coordinate with Ft Detrick Finance Office and Defense Military Pay Office (DMPO), Ft Detrick Military Personnel Division (MPD), MRMC and Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) to ensure customer service needs of officers and enlisted are met.

Correspondence: Prepare, edit, review and maintain military correspondence in accordance with Army and local regulations (AR 25-50, DA Memo 25-52 and other references/guidance provided).

Computer skills: Ability to query information systems for data collection. Intermediate experience with PowerPoint to develop informational slides. Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and presentations.

Awards: Advise, track, process, and maintain military awards as assigned, in coordination with Military Personnel Program Coordinator.

Clerical support: Provide other clerical and administrative support to include scheduling meetings/conference rooms, travel arrangements/vouchers, and distribution of mail, as needed.

Training: Complete required trainings.

Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.

Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Human Resources.

Proven HR experience in a DoD, Military setting or as a government contractor. Must have experience working with military personnel.

Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Shall have or have the ability to obtain an NACLAC or secret level clearance.

Ability to multitask.

Proven customer service record.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills: Well organized. Ability to manage workload. Initiative and willingness to develop understanding of HR systems to suggest improvements to internal processes.

Ability to perform independently with minimal direction

Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
