Human Resources Representative
Precision Castparts Corp. is a worldwide, diversified manufacturer of complex metal components and products. It serves the aerospace, power generation, and general industrial markets. PCC is the market leader in manufacturing large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, and forged components used in jet aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines. The Company is also a leading producer of highly engineered, critical fasteners for aerospace, and other general industrial markets and supplies metal alloys and other materials to the casting and forging industries. PCC Airfoils, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corp. The Airfoils Division manufactures complex highly technical investment casting for turbine engine applications used in commercial jet engines, military jet engines, helicopters and industrial gas turbines.
Reports directly to the HR Manager
Principal Area of Responsibility:
Under general supervision, the HR Representative provides daily HR support to the facility in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. This support includes but is not limited to: recruiting hourly and non-exempt salaried employees to meet plant staffing requirements, including compliance with affirmative action plan requirements and I-9’s. This individual us also responsible for employee recordkeeping, benefits administration, including orientation, recordkeeping and notification of plan changes as required.
Administer hourly and salaried benefit programs including orientation, enrollment, recordkeeping, communication and problem troubleshooting.
Build and maintain all hourly and non-exempt salaried employee files. Communicate with payroll, training and divisional headquarters as required.
Maintain accurate and up to date records in HR system.
Recruit qualified candidates for all hourly and non-exempt salaried positions to meet plant production requirements. Maintain tracking and reporting system.
Manage company relationships with temporary recruiting firms and Ohio Bureau of Employment Services consistent with organizational goals and ethical practices.
Utilizing best recruiting practices, reduce plant turnover and overall recruiting costs.
Administer employee welfare programs including logo clothing, holiday party/luncheons/cookout.
In rotation with other staff members, provide third shift coverage.
Perform other duties as designated by the manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Labor Management/Business, Psychology or Social Services, with specialization in Human Resources.
Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
2-5 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. PHR certification from the Society of Human Resources Management preferred.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands, including but not limited to: standing, sitting, climbing stairs, walking on rough surfaces, repetitive hand motion, occasionally working near moving machinery.
The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
