Trident has an opening for an HR Representative at our plant in Anacortes, WA. This position administers policies relating to human resources activities at the plant. The HR Representative will work independently and collaboratively with plant supervisors.
Essential Functions :
Complies with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics.
Works directly with plant management to ensure compliance with company procedures for interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Investigates accidents and prepares reports for and coordinates with the Corporate claims department.
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Additional Responsibilities :
Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
May handle office administrative tasks related to plant operations (supplies, inventory, outside correspondence, invoices, etc).
May also work to administer safety-related initiatives at the plant level.
May process employee timecard, payroll reports/submission, and vacation requests and ensure timely submission to the Corporate Payroll Department.
- Two year college or university program certificate; or two to four years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
