Job Description HR Source Representative
HR Source Representatives serve as the primary customer contact in an inbound service center environment to assist VMware employees, contractors and interns in completing their human resource questions and transactions. HR Source representatives must be customer focused individuals who are self-motivated, friendly and have a passion to solve customer issues in an efficient and effective manner. The successful candidate will utilize critical thinking skills, knowledge based tools, and adhere to service center standards. HR Source Representatives should have a desire to build a career in Human Resources.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service to VMware employees via email and telephone answering questions and providing assistance in the completion of human resource transactions
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and knowledge base information to answer customer inquiries
  • Input, update, and/or retrieve information from various human resource expertise centers
  • Alert manager or supervisor when there is confusion or absence of information in the knowledge base to answer particular questions
  • Verify employment records verbally
  • Guide employees to extended resources and cross functional organizations such as payroll and real e State -Problem solve and support VMware employees and managers throughout the Performance Review, Salary Review and Equity Review programs
  • Document all contacts and outcomes within the ticket tracking system
  • Perform all work in accordance with established call / service center standards
  • Initiate escalations to manager or supervisor when delays occur in responding to inquiries
  • Perform related work as assigned
Experience & Qualifications

  • BA/BS from a 4-year college or university
  • 3 years+ Human Resource Generalist experience
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the Human Resources organization
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex issues
  • Ability to diagnose complex situations and multifaceted problems
  • Ability to problem solve and ‘think on your feet’
  • Knowledge of proper customer relationship / customer service practices
  • Knowledge of, and ability to, navigate through multiple computer software applications (i.e. Oracle, Workday, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Knowledge of general human resource principles and practices
  • Ability to handle high volume of customer contacts daily while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume fast-paced environment where change is constant.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrate initiative in starting and completing multiple projects
  • Demonstrated project and time management skills
  • Ability to work and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic, fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment Location Austin, TX, US
