Staffing Specialist serves as advisers to management regarding such matters as merit principles, and the advantages and disadvantages of various staffing methods in selecting employees for positions. The primary duties are to perform technical work in recruitment, examination, selection, or placement and utilization of employees, to staff Federal organizations. These positions are also concerned with determining career patterns, ladders for movement and progress of employees; identifying promotional and reassignment opportunities, which require detailed knowledge of labor market conditions and manpower sources. Will assist hiring officials with job analysis and development of rating plans; staffing both merit promotion and delegated examining unit positions; and adjudicating veterans preference.

Education and Experience Required:
  • A degree is not required but education will be considered in the evaluation of the overall qualifications
  • Must hold an active DEU Certification
  • Ten (10) years of human resource experience with five (5) years specializing in the staffing function
  • Contractor must possess skills and experience with online recruitment and examining systems
  • Candidates must have experience in corrective action, advertising and Delegate Examining
