Serves as the liaison between Career Management and Finance departments to oversee the process for payroll changes and reporting payroll data. This responsibility includes managing multiple stakeholders to a schedule, data entry in the HRIS system, troubleshooting and auditing to ensure the accuracy of pay and deductions changes.
Manages employment eligibility, including visa administration and I-9 compliance. The Specialist is supported by an immigration legal team.
Contributes to the oversight of company benefit programs by participating in vendor selection and management, monitoring quality and execution of plan benefits, identifying areas of investment, researching new benefits programs and conducting regular plan reporting and auditing. The Specialist also will assume a role in researching and implementing programs offered through our Wellness initiative.
Liaisons with new and existing employees at all levels, educating staff on benefits programs, responding to their questions and identifying resolutions as needed
Assists in benefits and HR administration compliance and organization
Identifies areas for process improvements and efficiency to best manage a fast paced and dynamically growing company with an increasingly complex organizational structure.
Excellent academic record
2 years of Human Resources experience
Attention to detail
1-2 years of experience with payroll, visa administration and/or benefits is preferred.
Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities
Strong interest in deepening knowledge and expertise in benefits plan design, understanding and execution of payroll and visa processes
Ability to manage self and others to deadlines
Experience working in a fast-paced office environment
Ability to take initiative and think through problems creatively
Ability to work and build relationships with entire spectrum of Advisory Board staff, both within and outside of the Career Management/HR division
Desire to work in a team environment
Ability to work with and learn spreadsheet and database applications
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
