DESCRIPTION

The HR Specialist under minimal supervision, supports the administration of a portion of the bank's Human Resources programs such as Reward & Recognition, selection , payroll and onboarding. Facilitates employee communications in partnership with the Chief Talent Officer to include newsletters, bulletins and emails. Acts as point of contact for employees, applicants, benefit plan administrators and external inquires to the HR Department.

DUTIES

Coordinates background, drug and credit check process for applicants
Assists employees and supervisors on use of Time and Attendance system.
Assists with benefit administration to include enrollments, change reporting, claims resolution, COBRA administration, HRIS data entry, and invoice review and reconciliation. Frequently interacts with insurance broker and carrier contacts. Responds to employee questions in a timely manner.
Assists with new employee orientation, new hire set-up and may assist with exit interview process.
Assists with recruitment and interview process: screens resumes and schedules interviews for recruitment coordinator as requested, and maintains applicant flow log.
Assists with Workers Compensation incidents/documentation.
Administers Reward and Recognition program
Assists with planning of employee performance and recognition events.
Maintains content and formatting of the HR portion of the Intranet
Responsible for NMLS registration for applicable team members and new hires
Serves in other capacities as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Organizational skills
Proactive self-starter
Ability to deal with change and align your information with the new changes
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Two-year college degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 plus years banking experience
