Our Human Resources team is looking for an HR Business Partner supporting The Fixed Income Division in New York. The successful candidate will:
  • Provide a full range of HR services and support to selected groups within the Fixed Income Division department
  • Leverage internal and external best practices to deliver the required services
  • Act as a key advisor to client management teams. Attends and actively participates in client management team meetings
  • Liaise with colleagues in other locations and divisions on HR issues and initiatives
  • Support, coach, and advise Client Managers in resolution of critical individual HR cases
  • Be recognized as a trusted HR advisor to the management team(s) of assigned client departments/ divisions
  • Review employee grievances/ complaints. Lead and/or support investigation and mitigation as required while working with Employee Relations, LCD and Line Management
  • Coordinate the activities of HR subject matter experts (comp, benefits, talent planning, international assignments, etc) to deliver the required HR services
  • Provide coaching and guidance to more junior HR team members in designing solutions to human resources problems/ issues
  • Make a significant contribution to the implementation and execution of HR policies and programs
  • Manages HR to full compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies

  • Works with our Service Center to ensure that all new hire and on boarding tasks are completed for Senior/Managing Director hires

  • Broad knowledge and experience of HR best practices in areas such as: employee relations, performance management, recruitment, compensation, policy/procedure development and interpretation, centers of excellence, and familiarity with organizational design, Training and --Development and benefits administration
  • Demonstrated ability in handling complex employee relations, compliance, and employment law cases. Working knowledge of laws governing work place in countries where client has employees
  • Knowledge and ability of when and how to escalate issues of importance
  • High integrity; able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Adheres to code of conduct; acts responsibly; protecting the reputation of the bank; controlling risks
  • Ability to train, motivate, evaluate, coach, mentor and direct employees and managers to meet desired objectives
  • Proficiency with MS office technologies as well as People Soft and other HR technologies
  • Appropriate business education and HR certification required to serve as trusted HR advisor to executive board and divisional senior management
  • Ability to speak publicly in a group forum such as a town hall or large meeting. Able to field difficult questions in such a setting
