Associate Director, Classification & Compensation
A minimum salary of $70,000, commensurate with experience and education.

The Associate Director for Classification & Compensation plans, directs, and supervises all activities relating to the administration of staff classification and compensation. The Associate Director is responsible for ensuring that Human Resource Services policies and programs for staff classification and compensation are in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act and state of Florida employment laws.
The Associate Director administers the university staff position evaluation system used in creating, updating, and reclassifying positions, and oversees the administration of staff wage, salary, incentive and recognition plans, programs and policies.
This position provides guidance and recommendations to management, faculty, and staff regarding classification and compensation issues, and oversees Classification Analysts responsible for analyzing department classification and compensation requests. The Associate Director also delivers training for management, supervisory staff, and employees on wage and salary programs.
The position also guides the University Classification Steering Committee and associated job family workgroups in developing a new staff classification system for the university. The Associate Director will collaborate with Human Resource Services staff on a variety of projects including program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new programs
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience.
Prefer HR experience and, specifically, position classification and compensation experience; prefer knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft HRMS modules and the inter-relationship of these modules and impact to HRS processes.
