Baker Victory Services has various positions available in the Chautauqua County areas for caring, motivated individuals seeking to make a difference in the lives of youth diagnosed with mental illness and/or physical disabilities.
Provide, within the context of the child's disability and post discharge, the needed support, guidance, mentoring and/or training of the child and/or their families/caregivers to assist in the successful functioning within the families and communities. High school diploma required; Associates in Human Services related fields and experience preferred.
Special Needs Advocates
Assist the child, family/caregiver, eductaional staff and community to better understand the child's related disability needs, to minimize interruption to their education, and to provide community/educational personnel with techniques to better respond to the child's needs. Masters in education required. Masters in Special Education preferred.
Provide psycho-education/training to address specific issues; giving special emphasis to the understanding identification and planning of significant events which may cause anxiety, frustration and/or crisis. Bachelor's and two(2) years experience required. Master's in Social Work. Human Services preferred.
