Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies has an opportunity located in Golden Colorado for a Hardware Engineer in our Low Frequency and High Frequency RF credential market. You will be a member of engineering teams developing and delivering innovative, world class electronic designs that control electronic access devices. Supporting an integrated project plan that focuses and aligns project team activities with achievement of New Product Development goals you will communicate and exchange information with management, local and global team members. You will develop and communicate technical specifications, review designs and assess cost requirements.
Job Duties include:
•Electronic circuit board design and development
•Being involved with product specification, design analysis, and design review
•Defining and maintaining credential product specifications
•Troubleshooting product failures
•Interfacing with sourcing
Knowledge & Work Experience:
Required Skills & Abilities
•Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
•Knowledge of electrical hardware design concepts, practices, and procedures
•Knowledge of schematic and layout tools (Altium or OrCAD)
•Demonstrated knowledge using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Desired Skills & Abilities
•Familiarity with antenna design and tuning
•Excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office tools desired
•Must be able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
•Must be able to adapt positively to a changing environment
•Knowledge of plastic materials is beneficial
•Knowledge of low frequency RF and high frequency RF is beneficial
•Supplier quality and supplier development experience is a plus
•Be an independent thinker and a self-motivated person
