Instrument Design Lead
Lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in the concept, design, verification, and release to production of new precision DC instruments for high end mixed signal automatic test equipment (ATE).
Primary role is driving a hardware design team in the design and release of several complex printed circuit boards that make up the instrument assembly. Lead thorough design reviews to ensure a quality product. Drive the team to meet reliability and cost targets. Use technical skills to contribute to the design effort.
Additionally coordinate at a high level all aspects of instrument design including software, board level, mechanical, thermal, FPGA, embedded, signal delivery, power supplies, diagnostics, calibration, and production testing.
Work closely with systems engineering and marketing organizations to ensure that the instrument design and performance aligns with customer requirements.
Work closely with program management organization to assess gaps in project execution with regards to schedule, budget, and staffing. Develop and implement strategies to close these gaps.
This is a highly dynamic environment. Customer requirements, account situations, and underlying technologies
change often during the course of an instrument project.
Ability to react to and incorporate changes in scope and feature requests into the design is a must.
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required

* designing and implementing test coverage
* design FMEAs
* statistical modelling
* circuit simulation
BSEE or equivalent
5-10 years relevant industry experience required
experience in leading design teams a must
