This is a Contract to Hire opportunity with one of our well known Clients in St. Albans, VT.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Overview:
This position requires a Tier I support technician providing desk side incident resolution of workstations, printers, and peripheral devices.
Skills Required:
Requires a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience supporting the end user community
Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware including Printers and software testing tools and techniques
Under direct supervision assists with network hardware, Servers and software installation, troubleshooting, and support
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Participates in special projects as required
Assists with Asset management and Inventory of IT assets
Assists with security vulnerability remediation
Certifications:
ITIL Foundation V3 and Comp TIA A+ required or attainable within 90 days of hire
Additional Education and Training Requirements:
Associates Degree in a related technical discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Weekends and shift work may be required
This program requires 24X7X365 operational support; therefore, this position is not shift specific and may require rotation of schedule hours. A GDIT Offer for this position does not stipulate or guarantee a specific schedule or shift.
