USmax Corporation is seeking a Hardware Technician to support the Information Technology Operations and Maintenance (ITOM) contract for U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS).

Specific Responsibilities
The Hardware Technician is a Tier I support technician providing deskside incident resolution of workstations, printers, and peripheral devices. Primary responsibilities include:

Monitoring and responding to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware including printers and software testing tools and techniques

Under direct supervision, assisting with network hardware, servers, and software installation, troubleshooting, and support

Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

Participating in special projects as required

Assisting with Asset Management and Inventory of IT assets

Assisting with security vulnerability remediation
Required Qualifications

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Requires a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience supporting the end user community.

ITIL Foundation V3 and Comp TIA A+ required or attainable within 90 days of hire (training will be provided by the employer)


Weekends and shift work may be required

After hours availability for communication and escalation is required. On-call availability (emergent restoration support only) and flexibility to work on a varied shift rotation is expected.
