We offer a great opportunity to lead a pharmaceutical histo- and molecular pathology group of scientists and technicians, including the responsibility to integrate this group’s activities into a local environment.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

You are responsible for conceiving, designing, conducting and leading research needs in assay establishment, process, product or method development, driven by strategic business needs. This applies to assay development and clinical testing projects.
Furthermore you will lead a team with the perspective of growth in case of higher workload or new technical achievements
In addition you are in charge for executing research and development strategies defined by pRED to support new and existing pRED Projects
You supervise laboratory and outsourcing teams
You are responsible for the distribution of workload, internally and externally, as well as for providing cutting edge quality and technology innovation
Your aim is to create productive work teams and implement processes and workflows for ideal laboratory efficiency
Another incumbent task is to develop and maintain policies and procedures which ensure the effective operation of the core labs together with relevant stakeholders
You hold a MD or PhD degree in life science with minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in the industry
You have successfully lead a histo- and molecular pathology / Tissue Dx Lab over many years
Furthermore you are experienced in laboratory quality management systems, assay development and assay validation
You have solid experience in molecular pathology, tissue imaging, IHC, ISH, fluorescence tissue application and other tissue specific applications (laser microdissection, image analysis, etc.)
You are proficient in early drug development, assay development or diagnostics development
A strong knowledge and experience in Oncology, tissue biomarkers and tissue analysis technologies is a major part of your background
You have proven track record in outsourcing strategy
Experience in resource management is a matter of course to you
Strong interpersonal relationship skills, team motivation skills and proven leadership skills are mandatory
You are a project oriented and hands-on personality
Excellent English skills, written and spoken, complete your profile
