BASIC FUNCTION: To serve as Head Coach of Women†s Soccer and Softball and to assist the Athletics Facilities Coordinator as directed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Head Coach of Women†s Soccer and SoftballThe Head Women†s Soccer and Softball Coach will administer and organize all aspects of a competitive Division III intercollegiate women†s soccer and softball program with special emphasis on recruiting, management of assistant coaches and mentoring of student-athletes.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning, organizing and coaching student-athletes in practice and contest situations. Recruiting talented and qualified student-athletes with the rules and principles of the NCAA and University. Monitor and promote exceptional academic progress of team members. Hire, supervise and evaluate Assistant Coaches. Comply with all NCAA, Conference, Department and University policies, rules and regulations. Attend all department and conference meetings as directed by the Director of Athletics. Exhibit the highest degree of Good Sportsmanship and Professionalism at all times. Assistant Facilities CoordinatorResponsibilities include but are not limited to: Work closely with the Athletics Facilities Coordinator to schedule athletic facilities, especially during the winter sports season. Attend weekly facility meetings during the winter sports season. Assist with special event coordination in the Rodgers Recreation Center. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletics Facilities Coordinator. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Game Management as assigned. Attend all department meetings, designated events and Admissions Open Houses. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics The incumbent may be called upon to work in the role of essential personnel during a storm or other school-closing emergency.LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Valid driver†s license. Current CPR, AED and First-Aid Certifications.
