Teacher Associate will work with the Lead Teacher in maintaining daily compliance with Head Start Performance Standards within their classroom, including education, disabilities, parent involvement, nutrition, health and mental health, etc.
The teacher associate is the designated lead staff person at times during the day when the teacher is not present in the classroom and supervises all aspects of the program during the teacher's absence.
Minimum child development associate credential (CDA), or enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree; or enrolled in a child development associate credential program to be completed within two years of employment. Offer of employment contingent of fingerprint, criminal background, MVR check and education verification. Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
Must have CPR training First Aid and Universal Precautions training within six months of hire date, and must be updated when necessary. Must have a valid driver's license, if you are from out of state, you must obtain a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date and you must not have any major violations, nor more than one DUI, DWI, DWAI conviction in the past three years., use of personal vehicle and willingness to travel to assigned Head Start sites in Jefferson, Clear Creek, Park and/or Gilpin Counties. Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends.
