Head Tennis Professional ESF Camps -

The Head Tennis Professional is responsible for giving tennis-specific instruction to campers of all abilities, helping to improve coaching ability of tennis instructors, providing a safe, fun camp environment, and serving as a positive role model for campers and staff.
Position Objective/Purpose:
We are seeking motivated team members who believe deeply in the organization’s mission and who display a record of achievement in effective supervision & management of youth as it pertains to this position, building positive relationships and ensuring the safety and well-being of people of all ages.

Head Tennis Professionals are hired at the following locations:
Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA
Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, PA
Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, CT
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Group supervision of campers with attention to: behavior and group management, health and safety, security, and personal and skill development
Assist in conducting mid-summer and end-of-summer team evaluations
Promote and actively participate in all camp activities
Work effectively with leadership team and tennis instructors
Coordinate weekly camp schedule
Lead tennis drills and teach instructors how to run them
Run weekly tournaments for advanced campers
Complete assigned paperwork
Serve as a positive role model to campers and team members
Follow the ESF Code and maintain the ESF Look at all times
Exhibit ESF Core Values at all times and to adhere to all company policies

Experience Requirements:
Experience playing tennis (collegiate level minimum)
A minimum of 3 years teaching at a racquet club (required)
Youth coaching experience (required)
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Other Skill Requirements:
Outstanding communication skills which include the ability to use clear, concise and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of professional interaction with campers, their families, peers, leadership team and the larger community
Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to and takes direction from Tennis Camp Operations Manager. May also take direction from and is overall accountable to Site Director.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Ability to push/pull, lift and carry a minimum of 35lbs
Endurance to work outside and on your feet for 6-8 hours per day
Ability to respond to emergency situations which may require running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and climbing stairs.
Good physical condition which enables candidate to perform all responsibilities of this position
