Head of Apps Merchandising
will be an industry thought leader with deep experience in developing a digital merchandising strategy for an e-commerce business.
Nokia Store offers a range of content including applications, games, videos, widgets, podcasts, location-based applications and personalized content. Today, Nokia Store contributes over 13 million downloads a day to the App Economy from a catalogue of over 100,000 content items, and growing. Nokia Developers have access to consumers in more than 190 markets, with 90% of visitors doing so in their local language. In addition, operator billing is supported in 46 countries and credit card billing is available in 192 countries. To date, more than 400 developers have achieved more than 1 million downloads through Nokia Store. Our vision is to have Nokia Store drive the App Economy in local markets around the world by expanding opportunities for locally relevant apps to be discovered, distributed, and monetized across Nokia platforms.
The Global Head of Apps Merchandising must be a strong leader and communicator who will collaborate seamlessly across departments and geographies. He/she will develop a vision for the Nokia apps experience, as well as define policies and be able to build consensus with a big picture. The objective will be to build a best-in-class merchandising team for the Nokia ecosystem that excels in a fast paced, dynamic, high growth environment.
The ideal candidate should have experience working across countries, and will be perpetually seeking ways to improve the customer experience. This leader will have demonstrated success at developing, executing or changing a vision and strategy and delivering the right communication throughout the organization.

Develop a great merchandising team
Develop an apps merchandising strategy for our Asha and Lumia devices
Drive best practices within the local merchandising organization
Work with our apps marketing team to drive co-promotion or cross-promotion opportunities
Use data and customer insights to innovate and improve the user experience
Bachelor’s degree, and MBA preferred
10+ years of marketing experience
Experience weaving data and customer insight into innovative strategies
Proven track record of success in merchandising in the online or mobile space
Deep experience of leading a senior marketing team through establishing a clear direction developing and empowering a team, and auditing performance to ensure consistent execution
