Recognized by Business Insider: The 10 Best US Tech Companies To Work For In 2012 Role Description We are looking for an aggressive and talented online marketing superstar to lead customer acquisition, retention, and monetization for our rapidly growing global subscription business.

The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, results-oriented, and love new challenges. We are serious about changing global education, and we are marketing a ground-breaking learning product across multiple platforms in developing markets all over the world. You will be obsessed with winning and enjoy the quantitative, results-oriented nature of online marketing, but also know how to build a team and work in a highly collaborative environment. While the role also will manage brand, PR and other marketing functions, there is a heavy emphasis on performance marketing to drive profitable conversions.

This role reports directly to the CEO and has board-level responsibility, yet will also need to be in the trenches, building a team, and creatively solving problems. A hybrid CRO / “growth hacker ”. Responsibilities As part of the 6-person management team, provide senior leadership for the entire revenue function of the company Grow ROI-driven marketing spend from current level ($50k / month) to $1M / month Develop, implement and manage the company ’s mobile " web paid customer acquisition strategy; including SEO/SEM, display, email, affiliate and social Manage, mentor, and train a team of 2 junior marketers to continually improve ROI of marketing spend (LTV/CPA); manage ad networks, agencies, and other partners Requirements Demonstrated track record in user acquisition, engagement, retention and monetization for online service (5-10 years experience); management of marketing budgets of $1M+ Love of data; familiar with the metrics, analytics, and statistics of quantitative marketing Deep understanding of cohort analysis and the psychology that drives online engagement and purchases; understand funnels, customer segmentation, lead scoring, etc. Experience in online education a huge plus Familiarity with international online marketing (Brazil, LatAm, Asia) a huge plus
